We're working on the next update to GTFO, which will be a bit of an overhaul.
Before we start discussing new features and/or quality-of-life improvements, I'm reaching out for suggestions for new cargo items.
The next system will use the following categories
- Duffel Freight (All Small Vehicles)
Most non-cargo oriented vehicles will use this size and will ship low-volume priority goods.
- Bulk and Barge Commodities (large vehicles, barges)
These items are shipped in massive quantities in barges, container ships, tipper trucks, and players who start the game with massive vehicles but can't cover escrow for Freight.
- Freight (Road, Water, Rail)
Too heavy to ship by plane, these items are found in trucks, boats and rail cars)
- Air Freight (Med/Large Planes)
Light, priority items that are time critical or valuable enough for direct air shipment.
- Rail Freight
Really heavy stuff that only be transported with a Train.
- Liquid Cargo (Liquid Tankers, Liquid-Capable Vehicles)
Fuel, Milk, Liquid Oxygen, Complex Liquid Organics, anything shipped as a liquid in bulk.
Don't try to think to hard about trace amounts of your previous cargo interacting with your new cargo.
- AirDrop (capable aircraft - NOT SMUGGLING)
Some planes and helicopters are capable of opening a door and tossing out cargo.
We send those on special missions to deploy sensors, wildlife restocks, all kinds of things and just let it fly into the air, it'll find it's way down on it's own eventually.
Maxim 11: Everything is air-droppable at least once.
- Heavy Cargo (Large Ships, Skycrane)
These things are very dense or heavy and require barges or skycranes to transport.
- Small Smuggling (Capable Small Vehicles)
Small items like Diamonds, Jars of Moonshine, Premium Meerkat Fillets to be hidden in small compartments.
- Large Smuggling (Capable Large Vehicles)
Large items that can be hidden in a bulk of containers or mixed in with assorted cargo like Oregano, Guns, Plums, etc.
