Ahoy!

I know some of you have played Liveskipper, a sailing simulation, where it is all about setting one's route with the right choice of sails, taking into consideration the upcoming meteo forecast provided by the platform based on real world wind (using "grib" files).

The game, developed by a French software co., nearly disappeared last fall but was saved by it members/players and keeps organizing virtual races all over the world, sometimes in liaison with real races.

A fun race is starting next Monday, set up by one of the many players' clubs: The Rum Rush.

It is a trip around the West Indies. It is worth a try for all those fanatics about off-shore sailing... You ll be set with a maxi-trimaran, sporting a wide range of sails (5) to be used according to the weather and point of sail.

Cheers & Bon Vent,

ViV

It has been some time since I've competed in Liveskipper due to RL and SL obligations but I can vouch for it being challenging and a lot of fun.  Take a look at it, I'm sure many of you will enjoy it.
